Thank you for your interest in the Montessori Center School. We are a preschool for the 3-6 year old.

This web site should answer most of your questions about our program and staff. We are located on a restored Horticulural Ranch, a unique example of Arizona's small operating ranches.

At the Montessori Center School you will find:

• Graduate Teachers with Montessori credentials
• Accreditation by AMI (Association Montessori Internationale).

The young child is motivated from within by a natural curiosity and love of knowledge and passes through various sensitive periods for learning a particular activity or skill. The Montessori classroom is a prepared environment that invites the child during those sensitive stages with appropriate materials and professional Teaching Staff.

The Montessori Teacher has extensive training in the observation of children and the use of materials. Through her skilled observation of the child's sensitive stages she guides the child and anticiaptes the child's needs. The Teachers are college graduates with additional Certification at the Graduate level.
